WHO
WE ARE
As a voice of good in this world - it is our mission to show a new way of living a fuller life - one that’s powered by vibrant traditions, enjoyment and collaborative efforts.

LIFE CAN BE GOOD
We once started donating new and gently used shoes and prom dresses. Though we were solving material problems, we learned there was a bigger need.
Then we met the mom who couldn't afford the prom dress because she was three months behind on rent. The professional who lost his job and didn't know how to ask for help without losing his dignity. The family choosing between groceries and electricity.
That's when we realized: the deeper need wasn't what people wore. It was what they were carrying.
So we shifted.
Today, The Show Me Foundation provides direct rent and utility assistance for families and individuals in crisis, people getting back to work, newly laid-off professionals and anyone caught in the gap between jobs and bills.
But here's what makes us different:
We don't raise money through guilt or pity. We raise it through CELEBRATION.
Our fundraisers are vibrant cultural experiences (think music, food, joy, community) that remind everyone (both givers and receivers) that life is STILL beautiful, even in hard times.
That asking for help doesn't mean you've failed, it means you're human. And that community support can feel like love instead of charity.
We believe life is supposed to be good to us. And when it's not, we show up with rent checks AND with reminders that you're still worthy of joy.
That's what we mean by "experience something different."
Different from shame. Different from isolation. Different from the cold transactional help that makes you feel small.
We lift the financial weight. And we lift the shame. Because you deserve both..
